RainTree opened its doors in March 2004 in a gracious old Bangalore neighbourhood on Sankey Road opposite the Hotel ITC Windsor .
The store inhabits a sprawling 5000sq ft colonial bungalow set in an extensive garden that’s a haven of luxurious unhurried shopping in a hectic city.
Its name comes from the imposing Rain Tree that’s grown here over many decades.
The bungalow has been divided into large spaces which offer the newest collections from some of the best designers in the country for clothes and accessories. Raintree also stocks traditionally designed furniture, objects in stone, wood, glass & porcelain, rare pillars & urlis and many more artefacts of unusual materials and design.
